Below are two emails that I sent to two different Levelland Middle School administrators. The first email was sent January 10th, 2026, at 8:24PM requesting clarification on the new bathroom policy that my daughter explained to my wife and me.

We received the response on Monday January 12th, 2026, at 7:58AM.

The second email was sent January 12th at 8:52am and response was received the same day at 4:58pm.

When I raised concerns about the conflicting information, I was told that the administrator had not read a prior email sent three days earlier that contained the updated guidance. That explanation raises additional questions.

According to the response I received, the administrator was unaware of the change regarding the restroom time limit being extended from 15 minutes to 30 minutes. However, the same response accurately referenced other details from the earlier communication, including the instruction for students to contact an administrator in emergencies and the reminder that female students requesting to use the restroom for female-related reasons should be permitted to go.

If the earlier email had not been read, how were those specific details communicated accurately while the change from 15 minutes to 30 minutes was not? If the email had been read, then why was outdated information provided to a parent seeking clarification?

These questions have never been adequately answered. Rather than providing clarity, the explanation created an even greater inconsistency between the documented communications and the information I was given.

I believe accountability requires more than simply acknowledging that incorrect information was provided. It requires a truthful and consistent explanation of how that occurred in the first place.

Below is a record obtained through a Public Information Request requesting communications from administrators to faculty regarding the bathroom policy. The record shows that information provided to Levelland Middle School faculty on January 9, 2026, at 5:09 a.m. differs from the explanation I received from administrators three days later.

After reviewing these documents side by side, I am left with a simple question: Why was I given information that appears inconsistent with what staff members had already been told?

I am not asking readers to take my word for it. I am providing the emails and records so they can review the evidence themselves and draw their own conclusions. What concerns me most is that despite bringing these discrepancies forward, I have yet to receive a satisfactory explanation or see any meaningful accountability.

If we expect students to be honest, accept responsibility, and learn from their mistakes, then the same standard should apply to those entrusted with leading our schools.
